The prices of raw material liquid wax and liquid chlorine had been lowered, weakening cost support. Downstream procurement required a cautious and wait-and-see attitude, resulting in light market trading. As of May 17th, the ex factory price of 52 environmentally friendly chlorinated paraffin in Anhui region was about 6,000 RMB/ton, and the market price of 52 national standard chlorinated paraffin in Shandong region was about 5,300-5,600 RMB/ton.

In terms of raw material liquid wax, the price of liquid wax continued to decline this week, with a downward trend as the main trend. Liquid wax fluctuated with the crude oil market. In terms of raw material liquid chlorine, the price of liquid chlorine increased slightly this week and then rapidly decreased. As of May 17th, the shipping situation of enterprises was average, and actual orders were mainly negotiated.

Market outlook

According to Chlorinated Paraffin analysts from SunSirs, the raw material market had weakened recently and there was insufficient support from the cost side. As of May 17th, the market supply and demand were relatively balanced, and demand needed to be improved. It is expected that the short-term chlorinated paraffin market will be consolidating to be weaker.
