According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the average market price of PCE on May 17th was 5,212 RMB/ton, and on May 12th, the average market price of PCE was 5,012 RMB/ton. This week, the market price of PCE had increased by 3.99%.

Analysis review

This week, the price of PCE slightly increased, and the impact of deviation caused by the Red Sea situation continued to accumulate. In early April, shipping companies announced price increased, and port shortages were severe, which may affect the import and export volume of PCE and lower external sales. The domestic market was active, and some enterprises were repairing their PCE units. There was temporarily no quotation for bulk PCE, and PCE was operating at a high level.

The downstream refrigerant R125 market continued to operate steadily at a high level, with prices ranging from 42,000 to 45,000 RMB/ton. According to data from the Ministry of Commerce, during the recently passed May Day holiday, driven by the "trade in" activities in various regions, retail enterprises such as automobiles and household appliances saw year-on-year growth of 4.8% and 7.9%, respectively, which provided incremental demand space for refrigerants.

Market outlook

SunSirs' PCE analyst believes that the high level operation of downstream refrigerant market provided strong support for the stable PCE market, and the market supply was tight. It is expected that the price of PCE will remain stable or slightly stronger in the short term.
