Analysis review

This week, the price of bromine remained stable with an upward trend, with mainstream quotes in the Shandong market ranging from 20,000 to 22,000 RMB/ton. Bromine production is expected to increase next week. The main reason for the increase in bromine prices was due to lower imports, and the delay in importing bromine. The downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries were still mainly purchasing on demand recently, with a strong wait-and-see attitude. In terms of raw materials, domestic sulfur prices had risen, with an average market price of 1,186.67 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and 1,076.67 RMB/ton at the weekend, a decrease of 0.92% and an increase of 38.03% compared to the same period last year.

Market outlook

The price of bromine had recently risen, with upstream sulfur prices consolidating. The downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries of bromine were still mainly purchasing according to demand. It is expected that bromine production will increase next week. Overall, it is expected that bromine prices will fluctuate in the short term, depending on downstream market demand.
