SunSirs: Consumer Recovery, China Egg Prices Rise
May 28 2024 15:42:32SunSirs(Selena)

According to the monitoring of the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of eggs at the beginning of this week was 7.69 RMB/kg, and the price of eggs at the end of this week was 8.06 RMB/kg, with a price increase of 4.81%.

At present, the market is shipping normally, with a decrease in surplus goods in production areas and tight supply in some areas. The purchasing enthusiasm of traders continues, and the market circulation speed accelerates. The profit in the breeding process is considerable, and the number of eliminated old chickens has decreased month on month, while the supply has gradually increased. In terms of demand, the rainy season is not conducive to the storage of eggs. As the demand enters the peak season in the third quarter, the market expects demand to support the price of laying hens, and the spot price of eggs is expected to rise.

According to the analysis of chicken seedling restocking, the overall trend of restocking from January to April has been increasing. Recently, spot and futures prices have rebounded, and the actual breeding profits and profit expectations have improved. Currently, the age structure of chickens is relatively young, and the number of chickens being restocked in the future is expected to decrease. The probability of excessive restocking is not high. In terms of the inventory of laying hens in the later stage, the domestic inventory of laying hens will still maintain a high level in the third quarter, and the supply and demand situation will still be surplus.

The supply of eggs in the market is tight, and it is expected that egg prices will mainly fluctuate and tend to be strong in the short term.
