Upstream: The supply and demand of raw material acetic acid in the first half of the month were stronger, inventory continued to decline, and prices remained strong, with a mid month increase of 4.49%. The cost of chloroacetic acid increased, leading to a decrease in corporate profits and an increase in prices. However, as downstream acetic acid resisted high prices, market prices stabilized, and prices decreased by 1.42% compared to the beginning of the month. There was insufficient momentum for chloroacetic acid to continue to rise.

Market outlook
