SunSirs: China Domestic Corn Starch Prices Showed Strong Fluctuations and Continued to Move forward in May
June 04 2024 15:09:10SunSirs(Selena)

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the overall price of domestic corn starch fluctuated strongly in May 2024. On May 1st, the average price of edible grade one corn starch was 3,042.00 RMB/ton, and on May 31st, it was 3,064.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.72% within the month.

Entering May, as the domestic corn market prices continue to rise, the continuous increase in raw material costs has provided certain support for the domestic corn starch market prices. The corn starch market prices have slightly rebounded, and downstream stocking willingness has become stronger after the corn starch price rise. With the support of costs and demand, the domestic corn starch market prices have continued to rise.

In late May, the overall price increase in the corn market has stabilized, and there is still a certain accumulation in the starch industry. The downstream of corn starch has once again entered a weak season, and the market is playing a long short game. The overall price of corn starch market has remained stable, but at the end of the month, it was suppressed by a slight decline in domestic corn market prices, resulting in a slight decrease in the price of corn starch market.

The corn starch product analyst from SunSirs believes that the price of corn has stopped rising and fallen, and there is still a certain accumulation in the starch industry. Downstream demand for starch continues to be sluggish. In June, the domestic corn starch market lacks sufficient upward momentum, and the overall price will be slightly fluctuating at the current level.
