According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average market price of CPL in China on June 7th was 13,552 RMB/ton, which was a decrease of 0.55% compared to the average market price of 13,627 RMB/ton on June 3rd.

Analysis review

The market price of CPL had fallen this week. The price of raw material pure benzene had decreased, weakening cost support. The downstream operating rate had increased, the demand for raw materials had improved, the market trend was upward, and terminal demand had increased. As of June 7, the settlement price of Sinopec's premium liquid CPL was 14,120 RMB/ton.

Raw material pure benzene market: This week, the price of pure benzene had slightly decreased. On June 3rd, the price of pure benzene was at 9,300 RMB/ton. On Friday (June 7th), the price of pure benzene was at 9,292 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.09% from last week. This week, the price of Sinopec pure benzene was at 8,800 RMB/ton (prices in Shandong and Hebei regions were synchronized). This week, the price of Sinopec pure benzene was at 9,300 RMB/ton.

Downstream PA6 market: The recent PA6 market trend had been stable. The purchasing demand for domestic aggregation plants had weakened, and market trading was average. Terminal stocking was relatively cautious. As of June 7th, the reference price for domestic PA6 was 15,100 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

SunSirs’ CPL Analysts believe that the market price of CPL had recently decreased. As of June 7th, due to insufficient cost support and slowing terminal demand, the market for CPL was beginning to decline. It is expected that the market price of CPL will mainly consolidate to be weaker in the short term.
