On June 7th, the average ex-factory price of 140g corrugated base paper was 2,628 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.68% compared to the average price of 2,646 RMB/ton on June 1st.

By observing market changes, it can be seen that the price of corrugated base paper remained weak last week. In terms of upstream raw materials, the price of waste paper has remained stable with little fluctuation. Supported by tight supply, there is not much room for further decline, but there has not been a significant increase in demand. With the increase of packaging waste paper after the Dragon Boat Festival, the market supply may have room for growth. The current trading focus of raw material waste paper has not fluctuated significantly, providing bottom support for the cost of corrugated paper market.

In terms of supply, the current operating load of corrugated paper mills is relatively stable, coupled with the replenishment of imported corrugated paper, the spot supply is sufficient. At present, there is still a price difference between the north and south in the market, and some northern goods are flowing into the southern market, which may affect local shipments and prices. Therefore, there may be a slight increase in the northern market, while the south is the opposite, in order to narrow the price difference between the north and south.

In terms of demand, the demand orders for the Loong Boat Festival in the downstream market have been completed, and the terminal orders have been stable, but the intention of large-scale paper mills to pull up is strong. Some bases have issued price rises in early June, driving the market's bullish mood, or stimulating some downstream companies to replenish stocks moderately. However, there is still a stalemate between supply and demand and cost, and the pattern of supply exceeding demand may continue.
