This week, the price of 2-EH fluctuated and rose slightly. Since the domestic 2-EH market bottomed out in mid April, the price center of 2-EH had slowly shifted upwards. 2-EH manufacturers were limited in quantity and reluctant to sell, while downstream customers had a strong demand for purchases, which provided significant support for the rise of 2-EH.

According to the propylene commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, as of June 11th, the propylene price was 6,986.60 RMB/ton, a fluctuating increase of 1.93% compared to the propylene price of 6,854.60 RMB/ton on June 1st. Crude oil prices fluctuated and consolidated, while propylene cost support still existed. This week, propylene prices fluctuated and rose; Downstream production of propylene had decreased, downstream customers purchased just on demand, and propylene manufacturers had average shipments. The supply and demand of the propylene market were weak, and the price of propylene was consolidating strongly.
Downstream plasticizer prices fluctuated and rose this week
According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of June 11th, the price of plasticizer DOP was 10,362.50 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.47% from the DOP price of 10,112.50 RMB/ton on June 1st of the month; On June 11th, the price of DOTP was 10,375 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.34% compared to 10,137.50 RMB/ton on June 1st at the beginning of the month. The price of raw material for plasticizers, PA, remained strong and temporarily stable, while the price of 2-EH fluctuated and rose. The cost of plasticizers had increased, and the profitability of plasticizers had decreased. The production of plasticizer enterprises had decreased, and the supply of plasticizers was sufficient.
