On June 15th, China Africa News Agency reported that the Franco British joint venture oil company, Peranco Congo, plans to increase its daily production from 80,000 barrels to over 100,000 barrels. On June 13th, Armel Simondin, the head of Peranco Corporation, visited President Sassou of Congo and introduced the local company's new project to him. The new project will increase investment in the Likouala and Emeraude oil fields, and adopt new technologies to extend the lifespan of oil wells and increase oilfield production.
Peranco Company entered Congo in 2001 and mainly developed oil fields such as Emeraude, Likouala, and Yombo through offshore floating platforms. They also conducted oil storage, transportation, and loading and unloading operations in the Black Point area through franchising. In recent years, the company has been continuously investing in geological research in related areas with the goal of increasing oilfield production.
