June 28 2024 11:03:53SunSirs(John)

Price trend

The atmosphere in the phenol market had weakened this week. According to monitoring data from SunSirs, the market offer on June 21st was 8,320 RMB/ton, and on June 27th it was 8,270 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.6%.

Analysis review

The price of phenol in East China of Sinopec was 8,350 RMB/ton, while the price of phenol in North China of Sinopec was 8,300-8,350 RMB/ton. The factory prices were firm, and the operating rate of the phenol ketone unit had not fluctuated much, maintaining around 70%.

In terms of supply, the total quantity of phenol arriving at the port in East China was 42,000 tons. Please pay attention to the subsequent shipment situation.

Downstream bisphenol A was operating steadily, with mainstream negotiated prices in East China ranging from 9,850 to 10,000 RMB/ton. Overall, market trading was limited. The cost side pure benzene market was operating steadily, with a reference price of 9,367 RMB/ton. Some refining companies in Shandong adhered to the price, and the transaction situation was not fluctuating much.

Market outlook

From the perspective of SunSirs, there are plans for parking and maintenance in Qingdao Bay and Shanghai Xisha, and after the phenol export is released at the end of the month, the import volume needs to be paid attention to. The market supply pressure is not high, and the enthusiasm of traders for shipping in early July is not high. From the terminal perspective, the purchasing is still mainly in demand, and there is not much change in demand. It is expected that the phenol market will adjust and operate in a range next week.
