According to foreign sources on July 2nd, data released by the American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday showed that US crude and distillate inventories decreased last week, while gasoline inventories increased.
According to API data, as of the week ending June 28th, crude oil inventories plummeted by 9.163 million barrels. Gasoline inventories increased by 2.468 million barrels, while distillate inventories decreased by 740,000 barrels.
Analysts had previously expected that crude oil inventories decreased by about 700,000 barrels, gasoline inventories decreased by about 1.3 million barrels, and distillate inventories decreased by about 1.2 million barrels last week.
