On July 11th, the commodity price index BPI was 936 points, unchanged from yesterday, a decrease of 30.31% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 41.82% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to the period from December 1, 2011 to present)

According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on July 11, 2024, there were a total of 33 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (12 in total) and the non-ferrous sector (8 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were acetic acid (1.61%), MTBE (1.51%), and methanol (1.36%). There were a total of 34 products that experienced a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (12 in total) and steel (6 in total). The top 3 products that experienced a decline were TDI (-2.67%), bromine (-1.44%), and n-butanol (industrial grade) (-0.99%).
