This week, the price of bromine had been running to be weaker, with prices in Shandong region running to be weaker. The mainstream market price was around 19,500-20,500 RMB/ton, and there was a large amount of imported bromine arriving at the port. The production of bromine in brine and seawater was stable. The downstream flame retardant production of bromine was average, with poor demand, and the demand for agriculture and intermediates was average. In terms of raw materials, domestic sulfur prices had remained stable, with an average market price of 1,293.33 RMB/ton from the beginning of the week to the weekend, an increase of 67.96% compared to the same period last year. Downstream procurement was mainly based on demand.

Market outlook

Bromine prices had been running weakly recently, with upstream sulfur prices consolidating. Downstream flame retardant production of bromine was average, and agricultural and intermediate demand was average, resulting in poor demand, supply and demand gamed. It is expected that bromine may continue to operate weakly in the later period, depending on downstream market demand.
