On July 16th, the commodity price index BPI was 933 points, a decrease of 2 points from yesterday, a decrease of 30.53% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 41.36% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on July 16, 2024, a total of 28 commodities showed a year-on-year increase in their prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (12 in total) and the agricultural and sideline sector (4 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were polyformaldehyde (1.58%), waste paper (1.29%), and palm oil (1.22%). There were a total of 60 products that experienced a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (22 in total) and non-ferrous metals (13 in total). The top three products with the highest decline were dichloromethane (-2.62%), cyclohexane (-2.01%), and calcium carbide (-1.84%).
