On July 22, the commodity price index BPI was 927 points, a decrease of 1 point from yesterday, a decrease of 30.98% from the highest point of the cycle at 1,343 points (2021-10-19), and an increase of 40.45% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3, 2016. According to the price monitoring of Shengyi Society, on July 22, 2024, a total of 31 commodities showed a year-on-year increase in their prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical industry sector (13 in total) and the agricultural and sideline sector (6 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were rapeseed meal (2.09%), butanone (2.00%), and acrylic acid (1.33%). There were a total of 56 commodities that experienced a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (20 in total) and steel (11 in total). The top three commodities with the highest decline were WTI crude oil (-3.27%), Brent crude oil (-2.91%), and ammonium sulfate (-2.15%).
