The Indian Ministry of Finance has released a budget report, planning to increase domestic edible oil production to 47.1 million tons in 2024/2025.

The budget report shows that the oilseed planting area in India will reach 30.4 million hectares in 2024/2025.

The oil palm planting area will increase by 230,000 hectares, bringing the total area to 543,000 hectares.
