According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average price of ammonium sulfate in the domestic market was 975 RMB/ton on July 1st, and 903 RMB/ton on July 29th. The price of ammonium sulfate had dropped by 7.35% this month.

Analysis review

The market price of ammonium sulfate had fluctuated and fallen this month. The operating rate of coking enterprises remained stable, while the operating rate of domestic enterprises had increased. This month, there had been frequent rainfall in many areas, resulting in poor transportation. The market supply was sufficient, and manufacturers mainly offered competitive prices. Downstream and distributors maintained a cautious attitude and bought at low prices. The international market situation had not improved yet, and domestic manufacturers were cautious and watching. As of July 29th, the mainstream ex factory quotation for coking grade ammonium sulfate in Shandong region was around 870 RMB/ton. Domestic CPL grade ammonium sulfate, the mainstream ex factory quotation in Shandong region was around 890-920 RMB/ton.

According to the weekly K-bar chart from April 29, 2024 to July 22, 2024, it can be seen that the domestic ammonium sulfate cycle was fluctuating. There was a significant decline in July, with the largest drop being 2.22% in the week of July 1st.

Market outlook

An ammonium sulfate analyst from SunSirs believes that logistics and transportation had been affected by typhoons and rainy weather in some areas recently. Downstream delivery capacity was limited, market transactions were poor, and domestic and international demand was weak. It is expected that the price of ammonium sulfate will mainly experience slight fluctuations in the short term.
