According to EU data, the import volume of palm oil in the EU decreased in the first month of 2024/2025, mainly due to a decline in imports from Indonesia.
As of July 28th, in the 2024/2025 fiscal year (July to June), the European Union imported 59,000 tons of palm oil from Malaysia, accounting for 40.3% of the total EU imports, higher than the 57,000 tons and 19.8% of the same period last year, respectively.
The second largest supplier is Indonesia, with the EU importing 53,000 tons of palm oil from Indonesia so far this year, down from 89,000 tons last year; But the import share has also increased from 31.1% to 35.9%.
From 2024 to 2025, the EU has imported 150,000 tons of palm oil, a year-on-year decrease of 49%.
