According to EU data, the import volume of soybean meal in the EU has remained unchanged from the previous year in 2024/2025, as Argentina's export growth offset the impact of Brazil's export decline.
As of July 28th, the EU imported 610,000 tons of soybean meal from Brazil in 2024/2025 (July to June), accounting for 46.7% of the EU's total imports, lower than the 940,000 tons and 72.1% of the same period last year, respectively.
The second largest supplier is Argentina, with the European Union importing 520,000 tons of soybean meal from Argentina, up from 220,000 tons in the same period last year; The share increased from 16.6% in the same period last year to 40.1%.
The third largest supplier is the United States, with the European Union importing 50,000 tons of soybean meal from the United States, up from 30,000 tons last year; The share increased from 2.0% to 3.9%.
Overall, the EU has imported 1.3 million tons of soybean meal so far in 2024/2025, unchanged from the same period last year.
