The EU crop monitoring agency MARS released its monthly report on Monday, lowering its average yield forecast for most crops in the EU this year. Among them, corn yield has been significantly lowered again. MARS predicts that the average yield of corn in the EU in 2024 will be 7.03 tons per hectare, lower than the July forecast of 7.24 tons per hectare, 6% lower than last year's yield, and 4% lower than the average yield of 7.35 tons per hectare in the past five years.
