On August 28th, the commodity price index BPI was 897 points, up 1 point from yesterday, down 33.21% from the highest point of the cycle at 1,343 points (2021-10-19), and up 35.91% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on August 28, 2024, there were a total of 51 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (16 in total) and the rubber and plastic sector (10 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were natural rubber (2.27%), DMF (1.53%), and ethylene glycol (1.23%). There were a total of 34 commodities that experienced a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (14 in total) and non-ferrous metals (7 in total). The top three commodities with the largest decline were acetic acid (-2.82%), WTI crude oil (-2.44%), and Brent crude oil (-2.12%).
