SunSirs: The Price of Color Coated Sheet Tended to Stabilize This Week (August 26-30)

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of color coated sheets tended to stabilize this week. On August 26th, the market price of color coated sheet was 6,100 RMB/ton, and on August 30th it was 6100 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.81% compared to last week and a decrease of 12.64% compared to the same period last year.

Analysis review                      

Galvanized sheet: The price of galvanized sheet had slightly decreased this week. On Friday (August 30th), the price of galvanized sheet was 4,210 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.24% from last week and 18.41% from the same period last year. The downstream demand in the coating market was lukewarm, and market transactions were relatively weak.

Market outlook

This Friday, the supply of major steel varieties was 7.7866 million tons, with a weekly decrease of 2,800 tons or 0.04%. The total inventory of the five major steel products was 15.6295 million tons, with a decrease of 789,200 tons or 4.81% compared to the previous period. The weekly consumption of the five major varieties was 8.5758 million tons, an increase of 205,100 tons on a week on week basis, with a growth rate of 2.5%.

Considering the arrival of the off-season, although most factories' costs continued to rise, their shipping mentality continued, and their offers remained strong at high levels. This week, most of the domestic facilities started working normally, but production and sales had not yet been balanced, and inventory was accumulating. It is expected that the price of color coated sheets will remain stable in the short term.
