Brazil plants about three seasons of corn each year, namely first season corn, second season corn, and third season corn.

The estimated corn planting area for the first season of 2024/2025 in Brazil is 4.3 million hectares, a decrease of approximately 100,000 hectares or 2.5% year-on-year. The estimated corn production for the first season is 27.1 million tons, an increase of 1.1 million tons or 4% compared to the previous year.
