Officials from the Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI) have stated that palm oil exports in Indonesia are expected to decline this year due to an increase in biodiesel blending rates leading to increased domestic consumption and a slight decrease in production.
GAPKI official Fadil Hassan said on Thursday that Indonesia's palm oil exports in 2024 could be 30.2 million tons, a decrease of 2 million tons year-on-year. In the first half of this year, Indonesia's palm oil exports were 15.06 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.6%.
