SunSirs: Inspection Report on US Corn Exports for the Week Ended September 19, 2024

The US Department of Agriculture's Export Inspection Weekly report shows that as the US corn harvest advances, the pace of corn exports is accelerating. Last week, the inspection volume of US corn exports increased by 94% compared to a week ago and 55% compared to the same period last year. As of the week ending September 19, 2024, the inspection volume of US corn exports was 1,102,826 tons, compared to 568,915 tons the previous week and 710,605 tons in the same period last year.

The United States shipped 416 tons of corn to China last week, and 2,473 tons of corn to China the previous week.

So far, the inspection volume of US corn exports in 2024/2025 has been 2,143,252 tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.94%, and a decrease of 24.4% last week.

The inspection volume of US corn exports in 2024/2025 reached 3.7% of the US Department of Agriculture's forecast target, up from 1.7% last week.

The US Department of Agriculture predicts in its September 2024 supply and demand report that the estimated US corn exports for 2024/2025 will be 2.3 billion catties (58.42 million tons), unchanged from last month's forecast and a 0.4% increase from the previous year.

The export volume of corn from the United States in 2023/2024 was 2.29 billion catties (58.17 million tons), higher than the estimated 2.25 billion catties (57.15 million tons) last month, and an increase of 37.8% compared to 2022/2023.
