Price trend
On October 7th, the commodity price index of propylene and 2-EH was 85.97 points, unchanged from the previous day, a decrease of 56.83% from the highest point of the cycle at 199.16 points (2020-04-13), and an increase of 81.07% from the lowest point of 47.48 points on August 8th, 2021. (Note: The period refers to January 1, 2012 to present).
According to the Commodity Analysis System of SunSirs, the average market price of 2-EH in Shandong on October 8th was 9,000 RMB/ton, an increase of 3.37% compared to the previous trading day.
Analysis review
The upstream propylene market fluctuated and consolidated, the cost support of 2-EH weakened, the downstream plasticizer market rose, and the downstream purchasing enthusiasm was average. The support for the rise of 2-EH had increased, but downward pressure still existed.
