On October 9th, the commodity price index of propylene and 2-EH was 82.92 points, a decrease of 3.91 points from the previous day, a decrease of 58.37% from the highest point of the cycle at 199.16 points (2020-04-13), and an increase of 74.64% from the lowest point of 47.48 points on August 8th, 2021. (Note: Cycle refers to January 1, 2012 to present)

According to the Commodity Analysis System of SunSirs, the average market price of 2-EH in Shandong on October 10th was 9,400 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.07% from the previous trading day.

Analysis review

The upstream propylene market fluctuated and fell, the cost support of 2-EH weakened, the downstream plasticizer market fell, and the downstream purchasing enthusiasm temporarily stabilized. The upward support for 2-EH had weakened, but downward pressure still existed.
