According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of color coated sheet had slightly increased this week. On October 7th, the market price of color coated sheet was 6,100 RMB/ton, and on October 11th it was 6,400 RMB/ton. The price increased by 4.91% compared to last week and decreased by 8.57% compared to the same period last year.

Analysis review

Galvanized sheet: The price of galvanized sheet had slightly increased this week. On Friday (October 11th), the price of galvanized sheet was 4,520 RMB/ton, an increase of 10.78% compared to last week and a decrease of 14.55% compared to the same period last year. The downstream demand in the coating market was lukewarm, and market transactions were relatively weak.

Market outlook

This week, the supply of five major types of steel reached 8.6382 million tons, an increase of 102,400 tons compared to the previous week; The total inventory of five major types of steel was 13.108 million tons, a decrease of 290,300 tons on a weekly basis; The weekly consumption of the five major types of steel was 8.9285 million tons, of which the consumption of building materials increased by 25.5% month on month, and the consumption of sheet metal increased by 3.3% month on month.

Considering the arrival of the off-season, although most factories' costs continued to rise, their shipping mentality continued, and their offers remained strong at high levels. This week, most of the domestic facilities started working normally, but production and sales had not yet been balanced, and inventory was accumulating. It is expected that the price of color coated sheets will remain stable in the short term.
