The average price of industrial grade sodium metabisulfite at the beginning of the week was 1,953 RMB/ton, and the average price over the weekend was 1,923 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.54% during the week.

Analysis review

This week, the domestic industrial grade sodium metabisulfite market prices had been weak. The upstream soda ash price of sodium metabisulfite had risen by 1.86% this week, while the downstream CPL price had fallen by 0.43%. The sodium metabisulfite market was mainly driven by orders, with weak transactions.

Market outlook

As of October 11th, the sodium metabisulfite market lacked favorable support, and it is expected that domestic market prices will mainly fluctuate and weaken in the short term.
