The weekly crop growth report released by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) early Wednesday morning showed that as of the week of October 13, the good-quality rate of US cotton was 34%, 29% in the previous week and 30% in the same period last year; the harvest rate was 34%, 26% in the previous week and 31% in the same period last year, and the five-year average was 30%; the full boll rate was 88%, 82% in the previous week, 86% in the same period last year, and the five-year average was 86%.
