Analysis review

Recently, the price of bromine has been operating strongly, with prices in Shandong region remaining firm. The mainstream market price was around 19,500-20,500 RMB/ton. This week, it was not affected by weather factors, and rainfall had significantly decreased. Bromine enterprises were operating normally with low inventory levels. The enthusiasm for inquiries and purchases of downstream flame retardants for bromine was relatively high, and the current downstream demand had limited cost support for bromine, which had boosted the overall market. In terms of raw materials, domestic sulfur prices had been consolidating, with an average market price of 1,417.67 RMB/ton on October 13th and 1,427.67 RMB/ton on October 16th. The price had increased by 0.71%, which was 54.06% higher than the same period last year. Downstream procurement was mainly based on demand.

Market outlook

Bromine prices have been operating steadily recently, with upstream sulfur prices remaining strong. Downstream flame retardants have shown high enthusiasm for inquiry and procurement, but downstream demand has limited cost support for bromine. The overall market has been boosted, and downstream inquiries were more active. Supply and demand gamed. Overall, it is expected that bromine may continue to maintain a strong market trend in the later stage, depending on downstream market demand.
