On October 18th, the average purchase price of A-grade waste yellow board paper in Zhejiang region was 1,515 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.79% compared to the average price on October 13th. The decline in the price of waste paper is mainly due to the increase in consumption during the holiday period, and the general increase in the recycling volume of waste yellow board paper at packaging stations. Against the backdrop of stable shipping intentions at packaging stations, the arrival volume of waste yellow board paper from most paper mills has increased. Therefore, the purchase price of waste paper from paper mills has been appropriately lowered, dragging down the market price of waste yellow board paper.
On the supply side: After the holiday, the operating load rate of corrugated paper mills has recovered significantly, and the process of destocking for paper companies has been relatively smooth. Some paper mills may continue to see an increase in inventory. In addition, the price increase in the corrugated paper market has been relatively smooth, and the inventory of enterprises has been reduced. However, new orders from paper mills are generally accepted, and the market still needs time to digest the increase, leading to an expected increase in supply and inventory.
On the demand side: Currently, some packaging factories are replenishing their inventory in moderation, and the corrugated paper market has good trading conditions.
