According to customs data statistics, in September, the import volume of cotton yarn in China was 111100 tons, an increase of 5.28% month on month and a decrease of 39.87% year-on-year, with negative year-on-year growth for four consecutive months. The import unit price is 2281.54 US dollars per ton, a decrease of 3.18% from August and a year-on-year decrease of 13.04%. Therefore, the import price of cotton yarn increased in September, with an import amount of 253 million US dollars, a month on month increase of 1.93%, and a year-on-year decrease of 47.71%.

Analysis review

The traditional peak season for textile production in September is not prosperous, with some factories receiving a small number of orders. Most yarn factories still have no significant improvement in their inventory, resulting in insufficient operation to control production and sales rates. The average price of domestic cotton yarn slightly decreased in September, but there is still a certain profit margin for imported yarn.
