According to data from the European Commission, the overall import volume of EU oilseeds in 2024/2025 is higher than last year, but the import volume of rapeseed oils lags behind the same period last year. As of October 20th, the import volume of soybeans from the 27 EU countries in 2024/2025 (starting from July 1st) was approximately 3.73 million tons, an increase of 7% compared to the same period in 2023/2024, and an increase of 8% year-on-year last week.
The import volume of rapeseed is about 1.69 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9%, and a 12% increase last week
The import volume of sunflower seeds is about 160,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 62%, and a year-on-year increase of 77% last week.
The import volume of soybean meal was about 5.36 million tons, an increase of 9% year-on-year and a 7% increase last week.
In terms of vegetable oil, the import volume of soybean oil was 80,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 65%, and a decrease of 66% last week.
The import volume of rapeseed oil was 90,000 tons, a decrease of 51% year-on-year, and a decrease of 50% last week.
The import volume of sunflower seed oil was 590,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 18%, and a decrease of 31% last week.
The import volume of palm oil was 980,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 17%, and a decrease of 29% last week.
