SunSirs: Weak Demand, Aniline Continued to Decline in October
October 31 2024 14:20:58SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the aniline market first rose and then fell in October, with an overall broad decline. On October 1st, the market price of aniline was 10,062 RMB/ton, and on October 31st it was 9,100 RMB/ton, a decrease of 9.57% during the month and 21.04% compared to the same period last year.

Analysis review

The aniline market rose first and then fell in October. In the first half of the month, Shandong Tianji and Dongying Jinmao units were shut down for maintenance, and at the same time, Jinling Dawang unit also had maintenance plans in the near future. The supply side was further favorable, and the supply volume was reduced. Aniline enterprises actively pushed up the price, and the mainstream price of aniline rose to 10,600 RMB/ton. At the end of the month, the market situation took a sharp turn for the worse, maintenance companies resumed operation, some factories increased production, and the raw material benzene continued to decline. At the same time, the mentality of the industry was poor, and the price of aniline continued to fall. As of the end of the month, the mainstream price of aniline fell to 9,100 RMB/ton.

Benzene: The benzene market continued to decline in October, with overall supply being loose and production remaining high. The weak supply and demand fundamentals led to a continuous decline in benzene prices. On October 1st, the average price of benzene was 8,183 RMB/ton, and on October 31st, the average price of benzene was 7,304 RMB/ton, a decrease of 10.74% during the period.

Market outlook

The favorable support for the aniline market was insufficient, and the raw material benzene continued to decline recently. The quotations of aniline enterprises were temporarily stable, but the downstream mentality was poor, and the upstream goods were not smooth. It is expected that the aniline market will operate to be weaker in the short term.
