On October 28th, the market price of color coated sheet was 6,500 RMB/ton, and on November 1st, the price was 6,500 RMB/ton. The price tended to stabilize compared to last week, but decreased by 6.24% compared to the same period last year.

Analysis review

Galvanized sheet: The price of galvanized sheet had slightly increased this week. On Friday (November 1st), the price of galvanized sheet was 4,379 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.25% compared to last week and a decrease of 16.66% compared to the same period last year. The downstream demand in the coating market was lukewarm, and market transactions were relatively weak.

This week, the supply of five major steel varieties was 8.6728 million tons, a decrease of 133,000 tons or 1.5% compared to the previous week; The total inventory was 12.349 million tons, a decrease of 244,200 tons on a week on week basis, a decrease of 1.94%; The weekly consumption was 8.917 million tons, a decrease of 0.2% compared to the previous period.

Considering the arrival of the off-season, although most factories' costs continued to rise, their shipping mentality continued, and their offers remained strong at high levels. This week, most of the domestic facilities started working normally, but production and sales had not yet been balanced, and inventory was accumulating. It is expected that the price of color coated sheets will remain stable in the short term.
