SunSirs: At the Beginning of the Week, the Domestic Phenol Market Saw a Slight Increase
November 19 2024 14:08:17SunSirs(John)

Price trend

The domestic phenol market continued to rise. According to data monitored by SunSirs, the price of phenol in the domestic market increased by 100-150 RMB/ton on November 18th, with prices ranging from 7,650-7,700 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

At the beginning of the week, the inventory of phenol at Jiangyin Port was at a low level of 1,000 tons, and there was not much pressure on the spot supply in the market. Holders of goods expressed their intention to operate at a high price, and the industry watched and participated cautiously in inquiries. The downstream terminal market showed weak buying enthusiasm, mainly due to rigid demand, with low delivery rates. Traders' shipments were not smooth, and the market opened at a low price in the morning, with limited room for profit sharing.

Sinopec's price for phenol in East China ranged from 7,650-7,700 RMB/ton. Sinopec North China phenol was listed at a price range of 7,700-7,750 RMB/ton.

As of the 18th, the phenol offers in various mainstream markets across the country were as follows:
