Price trend
According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs the price of color coated sheet had slightly increased this month, and the price was relatively stable in the middle of the month. On November 1st, the market price of color coated sheet was 6,500 RMB/ton; On November 29th, the price was 6,650 RMB/ton. The average price of color coated sheet this month increased by 2.3% compared to the beginning of the month and decreased by 4.76% compared to the same period last year.
Analysis review
Galvanized sheet: The price of galvanized sheet had fluctuated this month, with a continuous decline at the beginning of the month. After the middle and late of the month, the price began to rise. On November 1st, the price of galvanized sheet was 4,392 RMB/ton, and on November 29th, it was 4,399 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.159% from the beginning of the month and a decrease of 16.71% from the same period last year. The downstream demand in the coating market was lukewarm, and market transactions were relatively weak.
Market outlook
Looking back at the steel market in November, as of the 27th, the steel market had emerged from a volatile downward trend. The comprehensive price index of steel had fallen by 104 points, rebar and wire rod prices had fallen by 185 and 148 points respectively, medium thick plate and hot-rolled plate prices have fallen by 62 and 58 points respectively, cold-rolled plate prices had slightly fallen by 5 points, iron ore prices had risen by 1 US dollar, scrap steel prices had fallen by 24 points, and coke comprehensive prices had fallen by 88 points. The steel price fluctuated near the average cost in the latter half of the month, and the monthly high point was slightly lower than the end of last month, basically in line with the expectation of a bottom or no high.
Considering the arrival of the off-season, although most factories' costs continued to rise, their shipping mentality continued, and their offers remained strong at high levels. This week, most of the domestic facilities started working normally, but production and sales had not yet been balanced, and inventory was accumulating. It is expected that the price of color coated sheets will remain stable in the short term.
