Analysis review

This week, the price of bromine had been running weakly, with prices in Shandong region running weakly. The mainstream market price was around 21,500-22,000 RMB/ton, and downstream demand for flame retardants was weak. The manufacturer's inventory was in the middle, and imported bromine was normal. It is expected that prices will remain stable in the short term. In terms of raw materials, domestic sulfur prices had remained strong, with an average market price of 1,661 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and 1,721 RMB/ton at the end of the week. The price increased by 3.61%, which was 66.36% higher than the same period last year. Downstream demand was still acceptable.

Market outlook

Bromine prices have been weak recently, while upstream sulfur prices have been strong. However, downstream demand for bromine has decreased, and demand was mainly driven by on-demand procurement. In addition, there were many imports of bromine. The supply and demand gamed. Overall, it's predicted that bromine prices may continue to consolidate in the later stage, depending on downstream market demand.
