Price trend

The price of ECH continued to rise this week. As of December 11th, there was a shortage of spot goods in the market, and supply remained tight. After the price increased, low-priced spot goods were difficult to find, and there had been a decrease in trading orders in the market, with a focus on purchasing small orders for essential needs. According to the monitoring system of SunSirs, as of December 11th, the benchmark price of SunSirs's ECH was 9,125.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.11% compared to the beginning of this month (9,025.00 RMB/ton).

Price influencing factors:

The prices of propylene and liquid chlorine in the raw material market had fluctuated. According to the market analysis system of SunSirs, as of December 11th, the benchmark price of propylene in SunSirs was 6,858.25 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.18% compared to the beginning of this month (6,845.75 RMB/ton).

Supply side: The atmosphere of ECH in the domestic market continued to rise. As of December 11th, due to the parking plans of some enterprises, the supply of spot goods in the market was tight.

Downstream demand side: Under cost support, downstream epoxy resins continued to show an upward trend. Suppliers were cautious in purchasing high priced raw materials and maintain a focus on purchasing for essential needs.

Market outlook

Analysts from SunSirs believe that the price of ECH on the cost side fluctuated, with downstream demand mainly focused on purchasing and cautious procurement of raw materials. In addition, the market supply was tight, and it is expected that there may be a slight increase in the ECH market in the short term.
