On December 16th, SunSirs commodity price index BPI was 890 points, a decrease of 1 point from yesterday, a decrease of 33.73% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 34.85% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on December 16, 2024, there were a total of 36 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (15 in total) and the rubber and plastic sector (5 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were bisphenol A (2.11%), maleic anhydride (1.92%), and rapeseed oil (1.83%). There were a total of 36 products that experienced a month on month decline, mainly concentrated in the chemical industry (13 in total) and steel (8 in total). The top 3 products with the highest decline were hydrochloric acid (-4.35%), caustic soda (-2.86%), and nickel (-1.92%).
