On December 17th, SunSirs commodity price index BPI was 889 points, a decrease of 1 point from yesterday, a decrease of 33.80% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 34.70% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on December 17, 2024, a total of 29 commodities showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (10 in total) and the steel sector (4 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were maleic anhydride (1.88%), corrugated paper (1.64%), and acrylic acid (1.63%). There were a total of 40 products that experienced a month on month decline, mainly concentrated in the chemical industry (19 in total) and non-ferrous metals (6 in total). The top three products with a decline were caustic soda (-3.15%), aluminum (-2.03%), and liquid ammonia (-1.81%).
