On Friday (December 20th), the price of galvanized sheet is 4,400 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.52% compared to last week and a decrease of 16.54% compared to the same period last year. The downstream demand in the coating market is lukewarm, and market transactions are relatively weak.

Market outlook

This week, the supply of five major types of steel was 8.4994 million tons, a decrease of 107,600 tons or 1.3% compared to the previous week; The total inventory was 11.1841 million tons, a decrease of 207,200 tons or 1.8% compared to the previous week; The weekly consumption was 8.767 million tons, a decrease of 1.2% compared to the previous period; Among them, building materials consumption decreased by 0.003% month on month, and sheet consumption decreased by 2% month on month.

Considering the arrival of the off-season, although most factories' costs continue to rise, their shipping mentality continues, and their offers remain strong at high levels. This week, most of the domestic facilities started working normally, but production and sales have not yet been balanced, and inventory is accumulating. It is expected that the price of color coated sheets will remain stable in the short term.
