According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of color coated sheets tended to stabilize this week. On December 23, the market price of color coated sheet was 6,850 RMB/ton, and on December 27, the price was 6,850 RMB/ton. The price tended to stabilize compared to last week, but decreased by 1.66% compared to the same period last year.

Analysis review

Galvanized sheet: The price of galvanized sheet had slightly decreased this week. On Friday (December 27th), the price of galvanized sheet was 4,397 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.068% from last week and 16.11% from the same period last year. The downstream demand in the coating market was lukewarm, and market transactions were relatively weak.

Market outlook

This week, the supply of five major steel varieties was 8.4351 million tons, with a weekly decrease of 64,300 tons, a decrease of 0.8%, among which the production of rebar and hot coil decreased significantly. The total inventory of the five major steel products was 11.0937 million tons, with a weekly decrease of 90,300 tons or 0.8%. The weekly consumption of the five major varieties was 8.5254 million tons, of which the consumption of building materials decreased by 5.7% month on month, while the consumption of sheet metal remained unchanged month on month.

Considering the arrival of the off-season, although most factories' costs continued to rise, their shipping mentality continued, and their offers remained strong at high levels. This week, most of the domestic facilities started working normally, but production and sales had not yet been balanced, and inventory was accumulating. It is expected that the price of color coated sheets will remain stable in the short term.
