According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of bromine has remained stable this week. The average market price from the beginning of the week to the end of the week was 21,800 RMB/ton, a decrease of 5.22% compared to the same period last year.

On January 19th, the Business Society Bromine Index was 76.49 points, unchanged from the previous day, a decrease of 68.80% from the highest point of 245.18 points (2021-10-27) during the cycle, and an increase of 29.82% from the lowest point of 58.92 points on October 29, 2014. Analysis review

This week, the price of bromine was running steadily, and in the Shandong region, the price of bromine was running steadily. The mainstream market price was around 21,500-22,000 RMB/ton, and manufacturers were conducting centralized maintenance. Most downstream manufacturers have also stopped production. Downstream demand was weak. In terms of raw materials, domestic sulfur prices have remained strong, with an average market price of 1,624.33 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and 1,644.33 RMB/ton at the end of the week. The price has increased by 1.23%, which was 80.7% higher than the same period last year. Downstream demand was still acceptable.

Market outlook

Recently, the price of bromine has remained stable, while the upstream sulfur price has remained firm. However, the downstream demand for bromine has decreased, and demand is mainly based on on-demand procurement. The comprehensive supply-demand game predicts that bromine may continue to consolidate in the later period, depending on downstream market demand.
