As of February 20th, Guangxi has received a total of 18 sugar mills during the 2024/25 crushing season, an increase of 11 compared to the same period last year; The production capacity of the sugar mill has reached 139,000 tons, an increase of 122,000 tons year-on-year. The sugar production of the sugar mills that have been collected has remained stable and slightly increased compared to the same period last year. Currently, there is a resonance of rising prices, with increased inquiries from traders and downstream terminals. Downstream terminals mainly focus on essential purchases, and spot sales are generally low. In terms of imported sugar: As of the end of December in the 2024/25 crushing season, China has imported a total of 1.4603 million tons of sugar, a year-on-year decrease of 399,600 tons.

Internationally, as of February 15th, India's national sugar production for the 2024/25 crushing season reached 19.703 million tons, a decrease of 2.712 million tons or 12.1% from the same period last year's 22.415 million tons, which is favorable for raw sugar production. Thailand's sugar production continues to increase. As of February 19th during the 24/25 crushing season, Thailand's cumulative sugarcane input was 72.1462 million tons, an increase of 3.7349 million tons year-on-year.

Domestic inquiries are active, and raw sugar drives domestic prices. It is expected that in the short term, white sugar prices will mainly fluctuate with a strong trend.
