The Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture stated that as of April 11, the grain export volume of Ukraine for the fiscal year 2024/25 (starting from July) was 33.823 million tons, higher than 33 million tons a week ago, a decrease of 3.26 million tons or 8.8% from the same period last year, and a year-on-year decrease of 3 million tons or 8.4% a week ago.
The grain export volume from April to present is 990,000 tons.
So far this year, 13.393 million tons of wheat have been exported, lower than the 14.541 million tons exported in the same period last year; 17.677 million tons of corn, lower than the same period last year's 2013.3 million tons; 2.242 million tons of barley, higher than 2.117 million tons in the same period last year.
The Ukrainian government and industry associations have agreed to limit wheat exports to 16.2 million tons in 2024/25 to maintain sufficient domestic supply. So far, the export volume of wheat is equivalent to 82.7% of the export quota, which means that 2.8 million tons of wheat can be exported in less than three months of this year. There are no restrictions on the export of other grains.
