On April 17th, the commodity price index of propylene and isooctanol in SunSirs was 104.48 points, an increase of 0.31 points from yesterday, a decrease of 47.54% from the highest point of 199.16 points during the cycle (2020-04-13), and an increase of 120.05% from the lowest point of 47.48 points on August 8th, 2021. (Note: The period refers to January 1, 2012 to present).

According to the Commodity Analysis System of SunSirs, the average market price of isooctanol in Shandong on April 18th was 7,450 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.45% compared to the previous trading day.

Analysis review

The upstream propylene market has fluctuated and consolidated, while the cost support of isooctanol still existed. The downstream plasticizer market hadstrong consolidation, and downstream purchasing enthusiasm still existed. The upward support for isooctanol still existed, and the downward pressure has weakened.
