According to SunSirs’ data, as of May 15, the average price of n-butanol was 5,484 RMB/ton (both tax included), which was an increase of 316 RMB/ton compared to last Friday (the reference price of 5,100 RMB/ton on May 8), an increase of 6.4%.
Analysis review
Product: This week, mainstream domestic butanol prices continued to increase. At present, the market inventory is low, the downstream purchasing atmosphere is good, and the replenishment is positive. The inventory of n-butanol factories is generally low. Under the cost, the price continues to rise. As of May 15th, Shandong Lihuayi n-butanol ex-factory price reference was 5,450 RMB/ton, and it was raised 250 RMB/ton within the week. Luxi Chemical was currently operating normally, but stocks of n-butanol were tight. The ex-factory quotation referred to 5,500 RMB/ton, which increased by 400 RMB/ton within the week. The ex-factory quotation of Wanhua Chemical in North China referred to 5,500 RMB/ton, which increased by 400 RMB/ton within the week; the ex-factory quotation of East China region referred to 5,750 RMB/ton.
Industrial chain: On May 15, the market price of propylene in Shandong kept rising. Shandong propylene prices stabilized again after a sharp rise and fall last month. During May Day, the price of propylene was slightly increased by about 50 RMB/ton. On the 6th, the price rose again by 100 RMB/ton. On the 7th, 8th, and 9th, the price rose continuously by 50 RMB/ton. Some companies continued to increase by 50 RMB/ton on the 10th. On the 11th, it was increased by 50 RMB/ton. On the 12th, it rose by 100 ~ 200 RMB/ton. On the 13th, it continued to increase by 100 ~ 200 RMB/ton. On the 14th, it was increased by 50 ~ 100 RMB/ton. On the 15th, it still rose by 50 ~ 100 RMB/ton, and the market turnover was between 6,600 ~ 6,800 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price was about 6,600 RMB/ton.
Market outlook
Analysts of SunSirs n-butanol believe that at present, the downstream purchasing atmosphere of N-butanol is heating up, and it is expected that the n-butanol market will run steadily and firmly in the short term.
